Is There an Expiration Date in Teen Services?
The common stereotype of young adult librarians is that they can easily relate to their patrons because they’re not much older than teens themselves. But is this true? Can you continue to work with teens in libraries into your forties, fifties, and beyond? Whether you’re just embarking on your journey as a young adult librarian or are a seasoned pro, bring your own experiences to this interactive workshop where we’ll explore how to keep up with constantly shifting teen culture, what career progression for young adult librarians might be like, and how to build teen services from year to year.
CEUs will be awarded.
A light breakfast will be served.
Gretchen Kolderup, manager of Young Adult Education and Engagement at the New York Public Library, will discuss with us how to keep teen services fresh and exciting.

$20 for members of NCLA, SCLA, and library students.
Non-member fee is $30. Please make checks payable to NCLA.
