Biographies:
President
Phyllis Bradley – Uniondale Public Library
My name is Phyllis Bradley and I have been working at the UPL going on 23 years. I started off as a clerk/typist working the circulation desk. I moved on from there to Technical Services Clerk where I processed/entered and received audio visual anywhere from DVDs, BODs, CDs, Launchpad’s, hot spots, and numerous other audio collections. Adults/YA/ and Children’s books. I also trained new employees. I also have been working at NCC for the past 16 years as a part time clerk/typist. I helped students look up and reserve books and audio materials. I got my GED, and I also attended NCC and earned my Associate Degree. I have been on the Support Staff Division before it was called the Support Staff. I also am on the NCLA LILC committee and the Library Staff of Color Committee.

Jennifer Jordan – Syosset Public Library
I am a full-time Library Aide at Syosset Public Library in Media, Programming, and Community Engagement. You can find me recommending movies at Media, running film screenings for Programming, and making videos for the library’s TikTok account. I am also the author of two graphic novels with my creative partner Sophie Goldstein.

Jessica Gregory – Uniondale Public Library
I am Jessica Gregory and a Technical Service’s Clerk at Uniondale Public Library. In my current position, I process new acquisitions to the collection and assist various departments throughout UPL. I currently attend library school part time and hope to one day work in museum archives. Other interests include ancient history, illustration, and running Dungeons & Dragon’s games.

Denise Vega – West Hempstead Public Library
My name is Denise Vega, I am a page and a clerk for the West Hempstead Public Library. I run many of their virtual programs as well as prepare our take and make programs for our patrons. For the last 2 years, I have helped with the NCLA membership committee. I am so excited to be a part of the NCLA / Support Staff, It will be a great way to network.
