NCLA PR/Programming Event: Offsite Programming in Practice

The NCLA PR/Programming Division invites you to join us virtually for Offsite Programming in Practice: Innovative Ideas for Library Reach on Monday, June 8 @ 2pm EST.

Offsite programming can connect you with community members who may never visit your building — but where do you start, and how do you handle the unexpected? In this webinar, three librarians will tell us about the successes and challenges of their creative offsite programming.

Join Krystal Messer (Los Angeles Public Library) who will discuss “Expedition LA” a city-wide program designed to increase access and knowledge of green spaces & outdoor recreation in Los Angeles; Emily Murphy (Ann Arbor Public Library) who will discuss the annual AADL “Summer Game” which has attracted more than 17,000 people to the Library’s programming; and Alexandra Blau (Long Beach Public Library) who will share insights into beach programming, Vinyl Collectors Club, and collaborations with local businesses. Discover:

  • The ideas behind the programs
  • How they planned and executed off-site events
  • Reflections on what worked and what didn’t
  • Practical takeaways or creative inspiration for your own Library

All are welcome to attend!
