Have you ever considered taking a more active role in NCLA’s leadership? It’s the time of year when we’re putting together the slate for the election of next year’s executive board!
We have openings in Vice-President/President Elect, Treasurer, Secretary, and Director. All of these roles are voting members of the executive board and are expected to attend the monthly board meetings. These terms would all begin on January 1, 2027. Info on each position below:
Vice-President/President Elect – spend one-year serving as Vice President of NCLA. In this year, you prepare to take over the presidency and step up to serve should the president be unable to for any reason. The following year, you will serve as President, overseeing the organization.
Treasurer – this is a two-year term, in which you will keep a record of NCLA’s finances. The treasurer provides a full report of income and expenses at each monthly board meeting and oversees requests for payment or reimbursement from NCLA division and committee members.
Secretary – this is a one-year term (with an option to run for a second year). The secretary is responsible for notifying NCLA members of upcoming board meetings, providing members with the meeting agenda, and taking minutes at each board meeting.
Director – this is a two-year term. Directors are expected to attend all monthly board meetings so they may be present to vote on NCLA business.
If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to Melanie Davidoff at davidoffm(at)pwpl(dot)org with a short bio and which position you’d like to run for.
Submissions will be accepted until the end of day on Friday, October 2nd.
