Program: Celebrating “Choose Privacy Week”

May 1 – 7, 2011 marks the second annual “Choose Privacy Week” sponsored by ALA. A video produced for this occasion will be shown, follwed by a speaker who will focus on the ways libraries can promote privacy within their organizations and promote awareness of privacy concerns. Question and answer period will conclude the program.

Program: Award Reception for the 7th Annual “Freedom To Read” Essay & Art Contest

Location: Barnes & Noble, Country Glen Center, Carle Place (second level)

The Winners and Honorable Mention recipients received certificates of achievement and read from their essays and displayed their artwork. Barnes & Noble gift cards were also given to the Winners in each age group. Light refreshments were served at the conclusion of the program.
