The purpose of the NCLA Membership Committee is:
- To maintain an accurate record of the Association’s active membership (including current member address and email information);
- To collect and record membership dues;
- To recruit new members to the Association, and to encourage lapsed members to rejoin;
- To promote membership of Libraries and vendors as institutional members of the Association.
The Membership Committee also helps coordinate mailings to NCLA members who are not currently working at Nassau or Suffolk county public libraries.
The Committee encourages NCLA Members to serve as “ambassadors” at their libraries by helping to recruit new members. We also welcome suggestions from the members about means of promoting NCLA membership to those individuals who have not yet joined.
