Established in 2010, under the auspices of NCLA, the Retiree Committee has become an active group of over 102 members and still growing. Our ultimate goal is to serve the retiree library community by maintaining a bridge between and working effectively with NCLA. As Retirees navigate that labyrinth of retirement, we are here to answer queries by workshops and meetings. We believe in a lifetime of learning and keep members up-to-date with new innovations in the library world as well as their personal world.
The committee is open to Retirees and “friends” who must be a member of NCLA for a nominal fee of $15.00. They pitch in and through laughter and genuine caring have made retirement an adventure to envy.
Various members assisted with the programs during the year.
