Who We Are

As program coordinators, we have the challenge of ensuring that our libraries live up to their reputations as community cultural centers. We do this by providing our patrons with high quality informational and entertainment programs that are as diverse as they are, including, but not limited to, lectures, concerts, theatrical productions, book discussions, exhibits, crafts, and films. We are always open to new ideas. We also look for novel and exciting ways to promote our libraries programs and services to the public.

Individual membership is open to library public relations/programming personnel, library directors,Trustees, and Friends organizations.

What We Do

The main goal of the PR & Programming Division is to offer regularly scheduled forums for the exchange of library public relations and programming ideas, resources, and information. Continuing education courses and workshops are arranged to help develop public relations skills, inject enthusiasm and creativity into library program, and create effective library spokespeople. A “Swap-n-Shop” is featured at every meeting, so come and share your knowledge.
