YASD Election 2025

The Nominating Committee of the Nassau County Library Association’s Young Adult Services Division is pleased to submit the following slate of candidates for positions in 2025:

  • Vice President / President Elect: Amy D’Arco, Levittown Public Library
  • Secretary: Sarah Nashak, Oceanside Library

Note: Shannon Dalrymple will fulfill her elected term as President, having assumed the role this year after a vacancy. Noureen Qadir-Jafar will complete her second year as Treasurer.

Further nominations may be made by petition, signed by five members in good standing, and filed with the chair of the nominating committee no later than October 24, 2025.

A ballot on WildApricot with the names of the candidates (including those nominated by petition) will be sent out to Young Adult Services Division members by October 28, 2024.

The NCLA Young Adult Services Division was created to:

  • Unite in one division all those who are interested in any phase of library service to young adults,
  • Give those having responsibility for services to young adults an opportunity to exchange information, develop techniques and improve their professional endeavors,
  • Advocate for the rights of young adults to quality library service,
